Does Alpha Center Have Services for Men?
We serve both women and men in Fort Collins and the surrounding area at Alpha Center.
Men are impacted by many of the same issues as women. Whether it is determining the outcome of an unplanned pregnancy, STI testing and treatment, or professional counseling, we want to serve you.
STI Testing for Men
Many STIs are asymptomatic, meaning they do not have symptoms. You could have and pass an STI to your partner and not even be aware of it. Getting tested regularly is essential to your sexual health.
Our STI testing and treatment services are offered at no cost, and our conversations and your test results remain confidential.
It is important to note:
- If you are a patient of Banner Health Systems, your results may show up in your patient portal as we use Banner Health Labs for our testing.
- We require your ID to create your patient chart and verify your identity. This information is not shared outside of our office.
We screen men for the following STIs:
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
- Syphilis
- HIV/AIDS
We provide treatment for chlamydia. For other positive test results, we provide the necessary paperwork and a referral for further evaluation and treatment.

Counseling for Men
Alpha Center provides licensed counselors for free counseling sessions. You can receive up to six free sessions to discuss important issues in your life or for couples’ counseling. Please call 970-239-2272 to schedule an appointment.
Parenting Assistance for Men
If you and your partner decide to parent, we offer a variety of resources for both of you. For men, we provide resources to help you meet the challenges of fatherhood.
You can receive instructions for the following:
- Expectant parent mentoring
- Professional relationship counseling
- Effective fatherhood
- Community resources
