If you’re wondering if you might be experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, Alpha Center understands how overwhelmed you might be feeling. You have a big decision to make, and Alpha Center is your next best step.
Located in Fort Collins, Alpha Center provides pregnancy testing, pre-abortion screenings, and the health information you need to know as you consider your pregnancy options to make the best decision for you. Our team is here to provide clear and medically accurate information, caring support, and a safe, non-judgmental space to ensure that you can take your next steps with confidence.
Alpha Center is also here to support your overall sexual health with free, confidential STI testing and treatment or referral. As a nonprofit clinic, Alpha Center provides all services for free and no insurance is required.
You’ve got questions, and we’re here to answer as many as possible. Make an appointment to speak with our experienced staff members and nurses about pregnancy, abortion information, STIs, or anything that’s on your mind related to your sexual health or an unplanned pregnancy. At Alpha Center, there is no judgment. We’re just here to give you factual answers to your most important questions.
We’ve answered the most common questions about our services, what to expect, and how we can help, all in one place.
Alpha Center provides medical services under the direction and supervision of a local, licensed OB/GYN physician with over 30 years of experience. All medical professionals in clinic are registered nurses and provide gestational dating ultrasound with additional training.
Alpha Center does not provide or refer for abortions, nor are referrals needed to obtain an abortion. Because of this, Alpha Center has no financial interest in your pregnancy decision. We do provide accurate information on all abortion procedures, expected side effects, and potential risks because we believe that all women deserve informed consent.
Everything that Alpha Center provides is completely free, so no insurance is needed, nor is your insurance billed. We will need to see your ID at your first appointment to verify your identity.
Not at all! In 2024, 62% of our STI patients and 22% of our pregnancy patients reported having no spiritual beliefs.
Alpha Center’s Christian faith means that we value each person that we see no matter their faith or circumstances because we believe that you matter. We believe that your spirituality plays a role in your overall health, so while we will ask about how your beliefs play a role in your life, you do not have to share if that is not something you’re comfortable with.
Absolutely. Alpha Center provides our services to anyone who needs them. It is important to note that your current anatomy will determine the kind of testing that is done (urine sample or vaginal self-swab), so you will be asked by our nurse to determine which is necessary for you.
No. As a health clinic, we follow state laws regarding reporting and confidentiality and do not share your personal information with third parties. Test results can be sent to your doctor’s office upon your request and with a signed Authorization to Release Information.

If this is a planned pregnancy and you have established care with an OBGYN, Alpha Center may not be a good fit for you. Our appointments and ultrasounds are geared towards women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy, with the goal of answering questions that are vital to the decision making process. If you are looking for peace of mind, reach out to your OBGYN or visit Tender Gifts Midwifery (formerly Moments Captured) or Blossom Baby Co, which offer peace of mind packages.
It’s important to note, that while Alpha Center’s medical services might not be the best fit, our client services are available to and beneficial for anyone! If your concern is because of a previous loss, we are so sorry. If you are interested, we can connect you with our Pregnancy Loss Support volunteer, who has been where you are and would be honored to support you. For more information about parenting support, connections to local resources, or professional counseling, call 970.221.5121 ext. 302 to speak with our Community Services team.
