400;\"> puede descartar).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La p\u00edldora abortiva, mifepristona, tambi\u00e9n se llama Plan C, RU486, aborto farmacol\u00f3gico o aborto style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diarrea (18-43%)<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h2><b>Reacciones adversas graves<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entre <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/drugsatfda_docs\/label\/2023\/020687Orig1s025Lbl.pdf\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.04-4.6%<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  de mujeres durante los ensayos cl\u00ednicos experimentaron reacciones adversas graves, como necesidad de transfusi\u00f3n, sepsis, visita a urgencias, hospitalizaci\u00f3n, hemorragia e infecci\u00f3n sin sepsis.\n(Esta cifra podr\u00eda ser mayor, ya que muchas complicaciones relacionadas con la p\u00edldora abortiva suelen diagnosticarse err\u00f3neamente como abortos espont\u00e1neos). <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/humrep\/article\/13\/10\/2962\/681843\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">este estudio<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">los investigadores descubrieron que era necesaria una intervenci\u00f3n quir\u00fargica en el 2,5% de las ocasiones, y que la tasa de intervenci\u00f3n quir\u00fargica era significativamente mayor entre las mujeres con gestaciones de m\u00e1s de 7 semanas.<\/span><\/p><h2><b>Cu\u00e1ndo llamar al m\u00e9dico<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Si experimentas lo siguiente despu\u00e9s de tomar la p\u00edldora abortiva, es importante que te pongas en contacto con tu m\u00e9dico inmediatamente:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">fiebre de 100,4 F o superior que dura m\u00e1s de 4 horas<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">dolor abdominal o n\u00e1useas m\u00e1s de 24 horas despu\u00e9s de tomar Misoprostol<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hemorragia intensa, es decir, sangrado suficiente para empapar dos compresas gruesas de tama\u00f1o normal durante dos horas consecutivas o m\u00e1s.\nEn aproximadamente el 1% de las mujeres, la hemorragia puede ser tan intensa que sea necesaria una intervenci\u00f3n quir\u00fargica. <\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es importante que, cuando llames al m\u00e9dico, le comuniques que tomaste la p\u00edldora abortiva, ya que el tratamiento de las complicaciones de la p\u00edldora abortiva es diferente al del aborto espont\u00e1neo.  <\/span><\/p><h2><b>\u00bfQui\u00e9n no debe tomar la p\u00edldora abortiva?<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seg\u00fan la FDA, una paciente embarazada no debe tomar la p\u00edldora abortiva si:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tener un embarazo ect\u00f3pico<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tienes problemas suprarrenales<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">est\u00e1n siendo tratados actualmente con terapias a largo plazo con corticosteroides<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tomas medicamentos anticoagulantes o tienes un trastorno hemorr\u00e1gico<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tienes alergia al misoprostol o a la mifepristona<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tener colocado un DIU<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h2><b>Consideraciones antes de tomar la p\u00edldora abortiva.<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Antes de tomar la p\u00edldora abortiva, es importante saber si necesitas una <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC6996534\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">inmunizaci\u00f3n Rhesus<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ya que puede afectar a la salud de futuros embarazos.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tambi\u00e9n es importante saber si tu embarazo es <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/ectopic-pregnancy\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20372088\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ect\u00f3pico<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> ya que <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nejm.org\/doi\/full\/10.1056\/NEJMc2214213\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">el aborto farmacol\u00f3gico no tratar\u00e1 el embarazo ect\u00f3pico<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">que se considera una urgencia m\u00e9dica.\nLa p\u00edldora abortiva se dirige al \u00fatero, y un embarazo ect\u00f3pico est\u00e1 fuera del \u00fatero, por lo que el embarazo ect\u00f3pico no se ver\u00eda afectado por la p\u00edldora abortiva.   <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por \u00faltimo, es importante saber si el embarazo es viable o no, ya que casi el <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/books\/NBK532992\/\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">26%<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  de todos los embarazos terminar\u00e1n en aborto espont\u00e1neo.\nSi tu embarazo no es viable, no necesitas abortar. <\/span><\/p><h2><b>\u00bfCu\u00e1nto tiempo sangrar\u00e9 despu\u00e9s de tomar Mifeprex?<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Las pacientes que toman RU486 suelen experimentar <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/drugsatfda_docs\/label\/2023\/020687Orig1s025Lbl.pdf\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hemorragia<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  o manchado durante una media de 9-16 d\u00edas, con una hemorragia intensa durante unos 2 d\u00edas.\nHasta un 8% de las pacientes
